Listing Fidelity Listing Scanner // Support
Browser Scanner Support
The Listing Fidelity Listing Scanner analyzes product-listing content that is available on the page you deliberately choose to scan. It does not modify the listing or require seller credentials.
V2 UPDATE // SUBMITTED FOR CHROME WEB STORE REVIEWHow to use it
- Open a product listing in Chrome or Edge.
- Click the Listing Fidelity extension icon.
- The extension reads available listing content from that active page.
- Review the diagnostic findings and detected content.
Supported marketplaces
Current V2 marketplace-specific adapters include Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Etsy, and Alibaba.
Other ecommerce pages may work when their product information is exposed in readable page content or structured product data.
Why a scan can miss information
Marketplace websites use different layouts. Some product information may be placed inside frames, tabs, expandable sections, or dynamic components that are not exposed to the extension at scan time.
More importantly, the extension does not fully verify text baked into product images, every hidden variant claim, or authoritative source truth. A green result therefore means “no supported conflict detected in what we could inspect,” not “listing certified.”
When the listing matters, send it for a free human evaluation.
Privacy and permissions
The extension uses temporary active-tab access after you activate it and uses scripting permission to read the product information on that page. Current scoring runs locally in the browser.
A narrowly scoped eBay host permission is used only because eBay can place seller descriptions in
a separate itm.ebaydesc.com frame.
Troubleshooting
- Refresh the product page and scan again.
- Expand product-details sections when the marketplace keeps them collapsed.
- If the scan appears incomplete, compare the visible listing sections with the feature/spec/fact counts shown by the scanner.
- Use the Full Scanner when the marketplace page does not expose all listing fields.
Scanner showed green, but you still have concerns?
That is exactly when to contact us. The extension is a diagnostic tool, not a certification engine. If the listing still feels off—especially in the product images—send it in for a free evaluation. We will tell you whether the listing is genuinely strong or whether the scanner missed something worth fixing.
